U.S. Commerce Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement

WASHINGTON D.C., -- Lapel Pin WORKS LLC has been selected for the 2009 Best of Clinton Award in the Custom Lapel Pins category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).

The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USCA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.

Establishing Twitter Identity with Fashion Forward Pins

Lapel Pin WORKS creates pins with Twitter imagery to allow Twitter users to gain followers offline.

Clinton, CT, -- Birds of a feather flock together, and one company is doing all they can to ensure that you recognize your flock. Lapel Pin WORKS, a Connecticut based lapel pin and jewelry company, recently launched a series of Twitter pins, enabling Twitter users to fashionably establish their identity both on and offline.

With Twitter gaining in popularity every day and Twitter users meeting offline at Tweetups, Twitter users worldwide are realizing the intrinsic value of social networking. A follower is not just a follower, but a relationship, a connection, and a branding mechanism. Therefore, Lapel Pin WORKS is helping people around the world establish their twitter identity with low cost, custom made lapel pins featuring twitter birds and icons.

“We understand how lapel pins work for all types of associations,” said owner Sandy Raucci, “So we designed the Twitter pin series to help people easily identify each other when meeting up at public venues. They were a big hit at the recent Inbound Marketing Summit tweetup in Boston.”

Twitter lapel pins feature a diverse selection of twitter phrases such as “itweet” and “tweet-up,” and a variety of twitter images ranging from the iconic twitter “t” to the traditional bird on Twitter’s home page. Another popular pin is the Fail Whale, an image that was originally associated with technical failures on the Twitter site, but has blossomed into a popular and recognizable Twitter symbol.

“I love my Fail Whale Pin,” said New Hampshire Twitter user Jocelyn Smith, “it starts conversations, and is a great way to show people I see every day that I use Twitter.”

Lapel Pin WORKS’ series of Twitter pins have also proved to be very successful at large business events such as conferences and trade shows.

“With so many people networking at a fast pace, it is often hard to connect with everyone I want to” said iTweet pin wearer and Marketing professional Lori Robinson. “Now, people see my twitter pin and quickly exchange contact information with me, or make a mental note to find me online once the conference is finished.”
